On 7 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Manama hosted a reception in the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thai Father's Day on 5 December, 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The event was graced by H.E. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Bahrain, and H.E. Ambassador Shaikh Abdulla bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Bilateral Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, as Guests of Honour. Ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations in Manama, distinguished guests from Bahrain and other countries, as well as Thai community in Bahrain, attended the event.
The Embassy was also honoured by the presence of H.H. Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Salman
Al Khalifa, Advisor to H.R.H. the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, who graciously visited to extend greetings prior to the formal proceedings.
During the ceremony, H.E. Mr. Sumate Chulajata, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Bahrain, highlighted the significance of 5 December for Thailand and its people, the benevolence and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, as well as the close and growing partnership between Thailand and Bahrain across multiple sectors. The Ambassador also led the guests in observing a 93-second moment of silence in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, followed by a video presentation of Her Majesty’s contribution in foreign affairs.
The event featured a display of Thai products, including coconut juice, sugarcane juice, inhalers, and medicated balm. Guests also enjoyed performances that showcased Thai culture, such as Khon (classical masked dance), Manora dance, Muay Thai demonstrations, contemporary live Thai music, and a presentation of the eight styles of Thai Royal Traditional Dress formalized by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and promoting the Thai dress abroad.
