Today (21 Jan 2025), H.E. Ambassador Sumate Chulajata attended the 1st ASEAN Committee in Manama, Bahrain (ACMB) Meeting in 2025 at the Hilton Garden Inn. The meeting was chaired by the Philippine Ambassador, H.E. Mrs. Anne Jalando-on Louis, and included the participation of Mrs. Nazira Zaini, Chargé d'Affaires of Brunei Darussalam; H.E. Mr. Shazryll Zahiran, Malaysian Ambassador; and H.E. Mr. Ardi Hermawan, Indonesian Ambassador, along with officials from the ASEAN country embassies in Bahrain.

The meeting adopted the minutes of the ACMB meeting held on 6 Nov 2024 and discussed opportunities for collective courtesy calls on key figures in Bahrain by ASEAN Ambassadors. The meeting also addressed activities that the ASEAN embassies in Bahrain could collaborate on with their Bahraini counterparts to strengthen Bahrain-ASEAN relations, such as ASEAN Sports Day, as well as promoting greater awareness of ASEAN in Bahrain.
