The Royal Thai Embassy in Manama, in collaboration with Gulf Air, proudly presents to you a collection of photographs and video campaign on 'Chud Thai Phra Rajaniyom', Thai Royal Traditional Dress in Bahrain, worn by Thai national Gulf Air cabin crew.
 
The eight styles of traditional Thai dress are:Thai Amarin, Thai Chitralada, Thai Boromphiman, Thai Chakraphat, Thai Chakri, Thai Ruean Ton, Thai Siwalai, and Thai Dusit.
 
The photo and video shoots took place at prominent landmarks in Bahrain, namely Bahrain Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage cultural site; Bahrain World Trade Center; and Bahrain National Museum. This activity responds to the royal initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, who has encouraged Thai people of all genders and ages to proudly wear Thai Royal Traditional Dress abroad, and as a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother. In this regard, Thailand has submitted 'Chud Thai: Knowledge, Craftsmanship, and Practices of Wearing the National Costume' to UNESCO for consideration for inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
