On August 30, 2023 the ASEAN Flag-Hoisting Ceremony on the occasion of ASEAN Day (8 August) in Manama was hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, and presided by H.E. Ambassador Ardi Hermawan of Indonesia, as Chair of ASEAN Committee in Manama Bahrain (ACMB). We were honoured by the presence of H.E. Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Political Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, representing our host country. H.E. Mr. Khaled El-Mekwad, UN Resident Coordinator, members of the ASEAN Business Council, ASEAN diplomatic staff, media, and friends of ASEAN also graced the occasion.
