Thai E-Visa

Processing time: It takes at least 5 working days to get your visa upon receiving your application, excluding the time to request additional documents. It may take longer in certain cases. Please prepare a sufficient amount of time for the application before your travel plan.  Kindly note that there is no "fast track". It is also advised not to contact the Embassy to expedite the visa process.

• Any person of any nationality residing in Bahrain (Bahraini nationals or holders of valid Bahraini Residence Permit) and wishing to apply for a Thai visa must submit their application, supporting documents, and pay the application fee online through the new online Thai E-Visa platform at

• It is no longer required for applicants to submit their passports and original supporting documents at the Royal Thai Embassy in Manama, Bahrain.
• After the e-Visa application has been approved, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to applicants. The applicant is kindly requested to print a copy of the confirmation email to be presented at the point of departure and to immigration checkpoint in Thailand.
• All information must be filled correctly, including the name as shown in the passport. Any inaccurate or false information provided will incur cancellation or rejection of the application.

* Visa types and supporting documents: All applicants are advised to carefully study appropriate visa types and required supporting documents on Thai E-Visa website. All required supporting documents can also be found here. The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents.

However, the Embassy may request an in-person interview if necessary. It is therefore advised for all applicants to provide their reachable email address and telephone number in Bahrain in this regard.
