During16 -17 September, Royal Thai Embassy, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines, Embassy of Malaysia, and Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Manama, held an event called “ASEAN Week in Bahrain” at Thai Mart.

The opening ceremony was attended by Heads of diplomatic missions, namely ASEAN Ambassadors and Korean Ambassador, Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry’s officers from Afro-Asian Affairs, Secretary-General of Higher Education Council, boarding members of ASEAN Bahrain Council, President of Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society, as well as analyst from EDB.

As a result, the event was successfully bringing awareness of ASEAN and its activities, as well as ASEAN communities in Bahrain to Bahrain's public sector, private sector, media, and the local community, also to enhance cooperation between ASEAN and Bahrain.There were approximately 2,000 people, including Bahraini, Saudi and other GCC nationals,as well as other national who reside in Bahrain attended these 2-day  event.
