On 2 December 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy in Manama, Bahrain, organized a reception to mark the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thailand Father’s Day at the Gulf Hotel, Bahrain. Around 200 people including representatives from Bahrain authorities, diplomatic corps, Combine Maritime Force and Combined Task Force, Bahrain private sector, Thai businessmen and businesswomen in Bahrain, Medias, as well as friends of Thailand attended the reception.

Mr. Nuttapat Chumnijarakij, Charge d’Affairea.i. of Thailand to the Kingdom of Bahrain delivered his welcoming remarks by addressing His Majesty  King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, ways forward to cooperate through bilateral and multilateral frameworks, Thailand’s travel scheme to open up the country, aswell asthe Chairmanship of APEC 2022, with the theme of “Open, Connect, Balance”. The concept of Bio, Circular, and Green Economy, or BCG Economy Model will be further promoted as the driving force behind APEC's priorities next year.  The 44-year diplomatic relations between Thailand and Bahrain was also highlighted, 2021 marks another good year for both countries which cooperation continues to grow despite the pandemic. 

This year’s reception, the Embassy received great support from Thai communities in Bahrain by bringing cultural performances, Thai classical music performances, the carving of fruits and vegetables, as well as Thai food and desserts catering by Thai restaurants in Bahrain.  At the end of the reception, guests received a takeaway Embassy’s shopping bagand Tourism Authority of Thailand’s bag, along with tourism leaflets, which the Embassy received from the Tourism Authority of Thailand in Dubai.
